Spring and summer are super busy times for rescue organizations because of the annual explosion of babies we call "kitten season". Litters under porches, litters in people's sheds -- stray moms are searching everywhere for sheltered nursery space. Some of these moms are cats that were abandoned unspayed, and others were born outside and never socialized. There are never enough rescue volunteers to trap them all and never enough fosters to teach them good manners.
We work hard to fight overpopulation, and our partner, Pets Ltd. does everything possible to support our work with affordable spay/neuter and low-cost vaccinations but, sadly, there is only one way to keep up with feline overpopulation In our area: Spay or neuter of every cat. It's the only solution. PLEASE HELP US GET THE WORD OUT! The little fluff balls above are some of the lucky ones. They were trapped last year by a Pets Ltd. volunteer and taken in by Dewey Animals. From Dewey they were adopted into loving homes. |
