Our organization president, Pam Draper, has been announced as Leidos' top volunteer for the third quarter of this year! Her hard work has earned Dewey Animals a generous charity grant. Pam has ben volunteering with Dewey Animals for thirty years. Founded in 1993, Dewey Animals is a non-profit organization run by a network of unpaid volunteers who support trap-neuter-return efforts for feral cats to reduce the birth of unwanted kittens, reduce the intake at shelters and thus reduce the euthanasia rate at the shelters. The organization also fosters cats and kittens and facilitates adoptions to forever homes. Pam reflected on her work with Dewey Animals saying, "Successful placement of kittens and cats into loving homes and rescuing community cats from urgent medical situations is quite gratifying. Seeing cats we have rescued in loving homes where the people and cast are wonderfully happy brings incredible joy to me." Congratulations Pam and thank you for your dedication to volunteering!
